Autumn Term

Home learning - 15th - 18th December 2020

Dear Year 3 pupils and adults,

I hope you are all keeping well!

Here you will find home learning for the last 4 days of term while we are working remotely.

Do as much of the learning over the next 4 days as you are able to or see fit for your child. You can share examples of their work on ClassDojo and I will reply with a comment.

Zoom calls will happen daily at 10:00am and 2:45pm. The first call will be to speak about the learning for the day ahead. If during that time you have any questions regarding the learning, please direct those to me through ClassDojo. I will either respond to those on there or speak about them in the second Zoom meeting at 2:45pm.

Many thanks,

Mr. English

Friday 23rd October

Some Half Term activities you could have a go at:

Make natural art

Look for natural art materials. Collect fallen leaves, petals and sticks and use them to make a picture or sculpture. Please make sure you don't pick wildflowers, however, as they are important for wildlife and some are protected by law.

You could even use the objects as 'stampers' or paintbrushes - dipping them in paint and rolling, brushing or stamping them on paper to create interesting patterns and effects.

Write a story inspired by woods and trees

Get those creative juices flowing with a story challenge.

Choose one of the ideas below to write a short story about:

  • A tree has fallen in the woods
  • A character has gone missing
  • An animal is shouting an alarm call
  • There are some mysterious footprints to follow.

You could have a go at writing a story each as a family and share them together before bedtime.

Which one was the funniest?
